Logos Quiz Level 5-16 Answers
Samsonite is a global luggage distributor, manufacturer and retailer. They were founded in Denver, Colorado in 1910 by a genius of a man named Jesse Shwayder. They have products that range from backpacks, bags, to suitcases, luggages and all sorts of travel accessories. This has to be one of the most boring companies to talk about. At any rate, Samsonite filled Shwayder’s long time dream of making suitcases and making money off of them. With low expectations from life, you are sure to succeed. Jesse had moved to New York in the 1800’s and worked for a bag company whose name is of no consequence. He soon figured out that he could make more money if he ran a bag company of his own. Somehow he managed to do just that, and thought he should use a religious story as a basis for his new company. Jesse net to church, like every good American at the time, and named his most mundane business in the world after one of the greatest stories in the Bible, Samson. Thus, Samsonite was trademarked in 1941 and the rest is history. The Denver factory now employs over 4,000 people who make and distribute bags all day long every day. Imagine doing this for your work, day in day out, living and breathing in luggage? Over 4,000 people do this for a living.
