Logos Quiz level 5-17

Answer: Lancome

Lancome

Lancome is a French cosmetics and perfume company based in Paris. They distribute products internationally. Lancome is a division of L’Oreal Luxury products, perhaps one of the biggest personal care product companies in the world. Lancome makes the higher end fragrance, skin care, and make-up products. They mark up prices based on their name, not on their product. They package their products well so that people who buy it feel like they are spending their money well and buying into their class when it actuality it is a complete scam. This company was founded in 1935 by Armand Petitjean. He was, obviously, a man of great vision. His vision was rip-off beauty products that cater to a facetious group of people. They first launched their fragrances at the World’s Fair in Brussels in 1935. They did well enough over the years to catch the attention of L’Oreal, so I guess that means something. In 1964, they were bought out by L’Oreal, who quickly ramped up their production and distribution. They just celebrated their 75th anniversary in 2010. Some of their most famous products include products that make no difference in the world. Some of the perfumers that are involved in this company are Annick Menardo, Alain Astori, Dominique Ropion, Olivier Polge, and other people.
