About Dunkin’ Donuts
Dunkin’ Donuts is a coffee and doughnut chain. Now a worldwide company, Dunkin’ Donuts was founded in Quincy, Massachusetts. Their current headquarters are located in Canton, Massachusetts. Although Dunkin’ Donuts is a global company, they are still primarily popular in New England. There are over 1,000 Dunkin’ Donuts in Massachusetts alone. Dunkin’ hopes to expand to 15,000 locations in the U.S. by 2020. They have locations in countries as varied as Saudi Arabia, Luxembourg, and Oman. In total, they have locations in 33 countries.
Despite their name, Dunkin’ Donuts focuses more on coffee and other beverages than donuts. Only about 8% of sales are donuts. Dunkin’ Donuts famously offers munchkins, also called donut holes. Dunkin’ is also the only seller of Coolattas, a slush-like frozen drink that comes in many flavors. Dunkin’ Donuts have been offering franchises since 1955, which is a huge part of why the company is so successful today. Dunkin’ has huge loyalty among their customers, ranking first in the coffee category for customer loyalty for five years straight. Dunkin’ Brand Inc. also owns Baskin Robbins. This has lead to coffee flavors inspired by ice cream flavors as well as locations that feature both Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robbins counters. Dunkin’ serves Coca-Cola products, although they also offer Gatorade, a Pepsi product. Dunkin’s main slogan is “America Runs on Dunkin’”. The alternate slogan is “You ‘Kin Do It!”.
