Answer: Knorr

About Knorr

Knorr is a food and beverage company known primarily for its bouillon cubes. It was founded in 1838 by Carl Heinrich Theodor Knorr. At first, Knorr was a factory that worked to supply chicory for the coffee markets. Knorr created dried soups and launched them across Europe in 1873. This would be the beginning of Knorr’s growth. In 1912, Knorr created Bouillon cubes, small cubes of condensed flavoring for soup. This allowed people to make soups and other dishes without having to make their own stock by hand. Knorr began selling their bouillon and soup mixes in 8 foreign countries in 1957. Today, Knorr is sold in every country. There are different types of Knorr sold in different countries. For example, Knorr sold in Israel is specially made to be kosher.

In 2000, Knorr was acquired by Unilever. Unilever is a British-Dutch company that owns many smaller companies. Unilever’s main brands include Axe, Dove, Lipton, Sunsilk and Knorr. These companies make Unilever over one billion euros in sales yearly. Unilever’s primary divisions are home care, foods, personal care and refreshments. The beginning of Unilever was a margarine and soap factory merging. Unilever has become one of the largest companies in the world. Knorr offers a wide range of products meant to make your cooking more flavorful and less time-consuming.
