Logos Quiz Level 4-31 Answers
Answer: Johnnie Walker
Johnnie Walker is a premium brand of Scotch Whisky, originally brewed in Kilmarnock, Scotland. It was originally produced by John Walker, a tea blender and grocery store owner who began selling his new form of blended whisky under the name “Walker’s Kilmarnock Whisky.” The whisky was an instant success, and production continued after John Walker’s death in 1857 with his son, Alexander Walker, who eventually rebranded it “Johnnie Walker Whisky.” In 1909, the iconic Johnnie Walker logo was created, meant to represent John Walker himself. After making a deal with commercial sea traders in the early 1900s, Johnnie Walker brand whisky began being shipped all over the world, to nearly all British Empire-controlled countries. Today, according to the company, the whisky is served in nearly every country in the world. In the 1930s, the system of colored labels was introduced, with Red, Black, Blue and Green labels denoting different blends. Johnnie Walker Red Label whisky is now considered the most popular whisky in the world, and the Blue, Green, and Black labels have all been awarded multiple prestigious titles at various spirits competitions. Since the 1930s, Johnnie Walker whisky has been the official whisky of the Royal House of England.
