Logos Quiz Level 4-37 Answers
Answer: Zurich
Zurich Insurance Group is a Swiss-based insurance company founded in 1872 to insure marine ventures. After several acquisitions, it refocused itself on several forms of insurance services and now offers three kinds of insurance: General Insurance, Global Insurance, and Farmers Insurance. General motor, home, and commercial insurance covers individuals, businesses, and corporations. Global insurance covers life insurance, savings, and investment/pension plans. Farmers services are for the Farmer’s Exchange, which is a separate entity from Zurich. Zurich’s logo features a large, stylized ‘Z’ set in a blue circle, accompanied by the company’s shortened name, which comes from the Swiss town where they are based. The town of Zurich is famous worldwide for its connection to financial services, partly because of Switzerland’s history of private banking. Zurich Insurance Group was involved in a price-fixing and bidding scandal which they were implicated in dishonest and misleading financial dealings, costing them about $171 million. Zurich is rated AA positive by Standard & Poor’s rating standards, indicating excellent standing.
