Dragon Alliance is a brand of snow, surf, and dirt bike apparel, especially sunglasses and goggles. Dragon Alliance, also called “Dragon,” was founded in 1993 by Will Howard in a small shop in Capo Beach, California. The shop was meant to service local surfers, and was partially inspired by Will Howard’s own experiences as a surfer, snowboarder, and dirt biker. Soon after introducing their first pair of sunglasses and earning early successes, Dragon began to move into the snowboard scene, producing new goggles meant for boarders and sponsoring prominent emerging athletes like Jamie Lynn. The company’s first surf team rider was Shane Dorian, and the company continues to service water sports athletes by producing new glasses that are design to float in water. Among Dragon’s prominent brands of sunglasses are the Viceroy, Jam, and Domo, along with new frames like the Remix, DS line, and the Mr. Blonde, which was named after one of the bank robbers in Quentin Tarantino’s hit film “Reservoir Dogs,” a movie which paid homage to the California scene with its intro song, “Surf Rider.”
