Lexus is a luxury automobile company made up as a division from Toyota Motor Corporation. They were first introduced into America in 1989, but were first developed in Japan as early as 1983. They are now sold globally, and people think they are some of the best cars out there. Maybe it’s true, maybe not. Lexus is in over 70 countries across the world. Their headquarters are in Nagoya, Japan. Though their flagship building is located in Japan, they have many operating centers located in Belgium, Brussels, California, and Torrance. They originated from a secret company that went by the name F1. This came about from a challenge from Eifi Toyoda to create the best car in the world. What did the best car in the world entail at the time? Who knows. They built a bunch of different models of cars that they now use under Toyota’s manufacturing umbrella. Someone created some car that became the first car for Lexus. Then Lexus began and started to make money on its own. Some models that came out of this time period are the Toyota Supra series and the Toyota Cressida models. These were both rear-wheel drive cars with powerful and efficient engines.
