They began in 1979 as Graphics Group, a division under Lucas Films. Walt Disney Company sought Pixar in 2006 for $7.4 billion. Almost all of Pixar’s animated films have received critical and commercial success, with the exception of Cars 2, a movie that no one cared about. Some of their greatest movies include Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, WALL-E, Brave, Monsters, Inc., Up, Cars, and other movies. Some of their films are among the 50 highest grossing films of all time. Pixar has received 15 academy awards and seven golden globe awards. They have also received eleven Grammy Awards. They are also in charge of making many Pixar short films, which are excellent as well. Their next movie is going to be called Inside Out, a movie about something with some laughs involved in it and a bit of drama as well. They are also going to be putting out a movie called The Good Dinosaur which will no doubt win them more critical acclaim or lat least be entertaining.
